North Vector Dynamics secures $4.2-million contract with National Defence for hypersonic propulsion

North Vector Dynamics has been tapped for a four-year, $4.2M contract by Defence Research and Development Canada to advance propulsion and hypersonic technologies that define the future of allied air defense. The award builds on NVD's expertise in counter-UAS and SHORAD, and expands the company’s capabilities across the threat spectrum.

The award cements NVD’s role as a next-generation air defense powerhouse - one of the few Canadian firms in one of the rarest and highest-barrier defense verticals, opening new opportunities for partnerships in global security and reinforcing Canada’s role in allied defense.
